I love Obama. I'm just gonna throw that out there, I think he's great. I mean, I've only ever heard him speak like once, that's how little I care about American politics (or America in general. Or politics in general. Or watching TV.) But I still love him.
You wanna know how real Obama is? I'll tell you, because I now know: Obama told a terrible joke. And by terrible, I mean it was terribly insulting, but terribly funny.
President Obama: "I recently bowled a 129 at the White House bowling alley."
Jay Leno: "... Very good." (sarcastic)
President Obama: "It was like Special Olympics or something"
Fuck, I'm sorry, but that kills me. That's a line from a Dane Cook skit. It remind of this joke:
Recently I was asked to run a marathon.
At first I said, 'Naaahhh...'
Then they said to me 'Come on, it's for handicapped and blind kids.'
Then I thought.... Fuck... I could win this!
Don't get me wrong, I love the Special Olympics, I think you just need to admit it's a ripe topic for hilarity. ps: If you think any of the above is truly offensive, watch the South Park episode where Cartman fakes his way into the Special Olympics to get an easy victory.
Here's something that truly had me laughing the other night: Teen Pregnancy is on the rise.
That news in itself isn't funny (you don't have to read it), but I thought this (from the article) was:
"After more than a decade of declines, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that teen pregnancy is on the rise again."
The Center for Disease Control is in charge of tracking teen pregnancy stats. Aaaaahahahaha! How perfect is that? Children are a disease that must clearly be eradicated!
