Share on Facebook 2008-12-01: Get Your Link On
Sorry for the long delay between website updates. I've been busy. Let's see, when did I update last? Mid-November. Ouch.
If you were too lazy to check out this link that Ian posted, check it out now:
I've since started my new job. Hence the no updates. I've been ... exhausted. There's something about the new routine that totally pooched me. I also had a very busy first week. I've been hitting the Krav hard again (well, maybe "medium stiff", not quite hard,) as well as I went to go see a play ("It's a Wonderful Life!") with Chelsea, which was quite good. And work. Work is obviously a bit one.
The new job is ... new. I'm still not enamoured yet. Aside: I would be enamoured with the US if it would stop trying to simplify British spelling, so that Google Chrome would stop telling me it's spelled "enamored", Christ.
So the job is a job. I'm still in the phase where I'm open to the possibility of things being awesome, and hoping (Nay! Believing!) that they will. There's a lot of possibility at ye olde Westport, and so I think it could be good. The company is great though, that is for sure. Super laid back, but high tech. Lots of crazy smart people, great facilities, great attitudes. Greatness abounds.
My car has a leaking tire. Somehow, this is worse than a flat tire, to me, because it means I don't want to change the tire. Which means I don't know if I should drive to the tire place, or go to the dealer, or what? I'm confused. Maybe they can fix the tire right on the car! Who knows these sorts of things? Is there a leaking tire entry in Wikipedia?!
Did I share this with you? About Seventy...
Here is a video worth watching: Cat Jumps and Misses. Aaaah, cats. A constant source of entertainment! Here's another cat video, called "Crazy Cat", which should perhaps be renamed: Stupid Cat, however I did finally smirk at the end. And finally, this one is sweet. Some Japanese Cat. It's the cat at the end that really kills me.
Enough about lame cats. Check out this weird ass thing I just discovered: Legend of Zelda Theme played on a "Theramin". In case that wasn't weird enough for you, here is Gnarls Barkley Crazy Theremin Jam. If you can find something more weird than that, I'll be impressed.
Here is something for those of you who think you are too smart for YouTube: Test your photographic memory. Although I have yet to try to play early in the morning, I got 22 Years Old my first time playing, and haven't beaten that time yet. Leslie got 20, apparently, but was unable to repeat her performance. But she's definitely better than me. Try it in the morning, and again in the evening, and let me know how you do. I have a feeling it's not really a skill you can improve very easily.
Ok back to the Theramin! This guy is intense.
Ok, no more Theramin. Let me try to find something else... Let me see here... Ah yes, a video that Tim sent me, that if you like driving, I'm sure you will enjoy: Ken Block, Gymkhana practice. More gymkhana? 7 Gymkhana.
I'm gonna finish this conversation with a send from Carver, who always has right opinions: Get Your Warn On: Bailout!?
Honestly, I could post these videos for the rest of the night, but I'll just leave you with the very first other video I clicked on: Get Your War On: The Day Traitors
"That's why God made Microsoft Excel."
Mitch out.

Project much? - Fox, 2008-12-02, 15:50:23 Wish I did....Project that is...As in the climbing sense. Yoga has taken over my LIFE and I haven't decided if that's a good thing or not. Anyway; I'm doing this survey with smart people ONLY (So I'm having a hard time coming up with an "n" that will be considered statistically valid but anyway....) My stupid friend at school thinks that Microsoft Project is worth buying. Have you ever heard of anything more absurd? She says that she's talked to people in BU's MBA program who all own it. (Don't get me started on how statistically INvalid that statement is).....But what are your thoughts? |

Amy, 2008-12-02, 19:25:50 And then a 29 immediately after. I like that game. (Oh, and it's the Amy who dated your brother, in case you were confused.) |

Fran, 2008-12-02, 22:48:56 I got 20 suckers. In the evening. (Hi amy) |

is the ultimate goal like, 7? - sarah, 2008-12-05, 06:15:16 I know I have a terrible memory, so I don't know that I'll even try it. Grant would probably do well though. You can definitely get your tire fixed, not replaced. I enjoy that I know this and you do not. Coming home for Christmas? We moved, and live in town and stuff now. |
