Share on Facebook 2008-04-06: The end is nigh, math-hooker!

Sparky sent me a message yesterday (Saturday) on Gmail: The End is Nigh.

I had to think: "Is he talking about my shingles?!" ... because indeed, the shingsters are nearly gone.

Aside: Props to Fran, the funniest guy in the planet, for that term, via this totally spontaneous line in an MSN conversation:

I hope your armpit and related shingsters leave soon.

Ah, how are you so funny? Why can I not be that clever? Why!?

Anyway, so Colin says to me "The end is nigh". And sends me this link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4489792.stm

Indeed, dear readers, the end is nigh.

Here, do you like math? Here is "World's Hardest Easy Geometry Problem". I haven't solved it yet but I haven't looked at it too long. If you solve it let me know, but don't tell me the answer! I'll solve it (or try to) and post an answer to it later, if I can.

Red Rolosezky sent me a hilarious link, in keeping with the math theme for today. But first you need to familiarize yourself with "Fergilicious" .... I know, it's hard, but just watch it. Done? (Aside: Did you hear the lyric "My body stay vicious, I be up in the gym, jus' workin' on mah fitness".) K, now watch this: Mathmaticious.

Feel free to send any math related hilarity for the next update.

K, picture time. Here's a set of photos that I took on one of the nicest days of the year. Ross and I had a good day eating, drinking, and walking around:

Vancouver March! Beach weather.
Ross and I hell of enjoying a walk on the beach.

Look how damned nice it is? It was awesome.

Coal Harbour cherry blossoms.
Cherry blossoms on a tree near my house.

Yet another view of a nice tree, on a super nice day, near the apt.

Cherry blossoms at Burrard station.
This is at Burrard Station. This photo does not nearly do it justice, it's like nicer than ... something nice.

The upside down church.
I love this. The churchies obviously complained, however, and now they are taking it down.

The Golden Ball!
Shame the religious nuts couldn't complain about this instead. Two giant golden balls, right across the street from our house. So wrong!

Ross in the sunshine.
Ross just hell of cold chillin' in the sunshine near the upside down church.

I love South Granville
I love Granville St. Obviously we went to Cafe Barney's, and had the eggs benny. Best. Breakfast.

I just found some math jokes for you. I actually don't recommend reading them, because they are, for the most part, so awful I wasn't even going to post the link. I did find a couple that made me ... well, half smile, and one I actually like:

A math professor is talking with her younger brother, who just started his first year of graduate school in mathematics.
"What's your favorite thing about mathematics?" the brother wants to know.
"Knot theory."
"Yeah, me neither."

Oh wait, shit, this one is hilarious!

Q: What does the little mermaid wear?
A: An algae-bra.

Damn, those are horrible. I'm going to bed.

Mitch out.

... Wait! I just found this on Fark. More math! Sexy math prodigy turns to prostitution. Did you see the size of her father's skull! And that guy she married! They have gigantic brains!

ps: Wait more. I forgot some photos:

I am not happy.
I had to walk around with my arm like this for 2 weeks, because of the shingletons (props Lindsay).

This thing isn't a plant.
Me and Ed thought this was a plant. So he prodded it, and it moved. WTF! What is that thing? It has a giant mouth-gina in the middle too. Scary as hell.

Sunset from Sparky's new pad
The sun set, as seen from Sparky's new swank(er) pad.

Eritrean night was a smash.
Sparky and I went to "Eritrean night". It was awesome. Learn about Eritrea.

Ok, now I'm done...

The upside-down church is sweet. Taking it down is a bad decision.

... yeah! - Fran, 2008-04-09, 19:36:40

Dude I just realized no one made reference to Justin Timberlake on that last update! Terrible oversight. You so brought sexy back. LOL ROFL

BFF LMAO - Mitch, 2008-04-09, 23:21:23

Dude, you are hilarious. Also: I'm bringin' shingles back.

Fran, 2008-04-11, 10:25:56

PS i tried that triangle problem for like a half hour. It's hard.
